SkamoWall Smooth Plaster is used to provide a smooth continuous decorative finish which can be painted.
Mix with clean water using a slow paddle mixer to achieve a smooth creamy consistency.
Open time 2 hours. Use to fill and smooth all joints before a full coat is applied. Minimum coat depth is 2mm. Maximum coat depth is 10mm per coat. A second coat can be applied after two hours or when a thumbprint can just be left in the first coat.
Fully dry after 6 hours.
Apply using a steel plasterer’s float or trowel.
Supplied as 15 Kg dry powder in a paper sack.
How to use:
To ensure a perfect surface, it is important that the tools, mixing baskets and water are free of dust and foreign objects of any kind.
Remove dust from the surface of the SkamoWall Board.
Apply SkamoWall Primer on the surfaces of SkamoWall Board where SkamoWall Smooth Plaster is to be applied.
SkamoWall Smooth Plaster is mixed in the ratio of 5,5 to 6,5L water per 15kg bag:
After mixing, SkamoWall Smooth Plaster can be used for 30 to 60 minutes.
SkamoWall Smooth Plaster is applied to the SkamoWall Board to achieve an even layer thickness (1.5 to 3mm). The plaster is then straightened.
By the next day, the SkamoWall Smooth Plaster has hardened and can be painted with a diffusion-open paint.
