Coverage

Otterbein NHL’s are a light tan, brown binder used for making Lime Mortars and Renders.

Otterbein NHL's are a historical, cement-free and gypsum-free, naturally hydraulic binder.

Otterbein NHL’s have a high free lime content which can offer distinct advantages from the point of workability.

NHLs are suitable for use in a variety of situations where vapour permeability is important. Generally, the more exposed to the elements the application is, the harder the material. A hard mortar should never be used over a softer one, so NHL2 or a lime putty mortar should be used for softer backgrounds.

Otterbein NHL's can be used in conjunction with sharp washed sands and fine sand to produce a lime mortar or render.
