About Roundtower

In 1998 Richard Good-Stephenson returned to West Cork to restore Cor Castle his family’s ancestral home which was at that time a roofless ruin. The team he assembled for the project decided to produce the lime mortars and plasters required on site in Innishannon.

Shortly after they started producing the various lime products needed it became obvious that others in the area also required these products and a decision was made to set up a business to satisfy this market, which lead to the birth of Roundtower Lime.

The family moved back into Cor Castle in 2001 by which time Roundtower Lime had become an established entity within the Lochplace group of companies. In the subsequent years Roundtower has grown significantly and now supplies lime throughout Ireland and the UK and internationally including Australia, New Zealand, United States and China.

Harry Good-Stephenson joined Lochplace in 2019 and took over the day to day running of Roundtower in 2020 when it was decided to transfer the Roundtower operation out of the Lochplace group and into a new company called Roundtower Building Products Ltd.

Building on two decades of experience in the lime business Roundtower Building Products has gone on to become a market leader in the supply of sustainable, environmentally friendly building materials and systems, providing a ‘one-stop’ shop to customers through Ireland and the U.K. We engage with all areas of the market from builders merchants and other lime suppliers through to architects, tradesmen and home owners.

The Roundtower Team

Richard Good-Stephenson

Richard has 30 years experience in the restoration and conservation of period buildings and sustainable new build. These projects include everything from simple vernacular buildings to grand Italianate villas to sustainable office buildings and this experience has given him a unique insight to the built environment and the materials required.

Harry Good-Stephenson

Harry joined Roundtower in 2019 having completed a BSc in Business and Entrepreneurship in the University of Reading. Harry has driven Roundtower’s growth in the Irish and International markets and is responsible for the day to day running of the business.

Seán Hughes

Seán has played an instrumental role in helping to build Roundtower’s Irish sales. While working in the office by day, Seán works on his own cottage restoration in West Cork on evenings and weekends using many of the materials we supply.

Eric Kingston

Eric Kingston has significant construction experiencein conservation and restoration projects across Ireland and the UK. Eric has apost graduate diploma in Building Conservation from the University of Readingand had completed courses with West Dean College on Stone Conservation

Owen Mamo Cooney

Owen is an Ecommerce Operations Specialist who manages the company's email marketing, social media and website. He supports the Roundtower sales team with the production of marketing materials and helps to manage the website also. He plays a key role in driving sales and building the company's brand.

Martin Murnane

Martin Murnane, your friendly and knowledgeable sales representative in the ironmongery industry. With over a decade of experience in building materials, Martin specialises in a wide range of ironmongery products, offering tailored solutions for residential and commercial projects.

Brian Kenny

Meet Brian, a friendly and knowledgeable building industry sales representative with a passion for helping his clients achieve their building goals. With over 10 years of experience in the construction and building materials industry, Brian is a specialist in breathable insulations, cast iron and aluminum rainwater goods, and natural hydraulic lime. He has a deep understanding of the products and services offered in the market and the needs of his clients. Brian is known for his excellent communication and interpersonal skills, which allow him to build strong relationships with his clients, architects, builders and contractors.
